Why Choose Reading Bridge?
Our impassioned team of book-lovers makes organizing book fairs a breeze. We will give you a hand in sourcing the titles your school wants most and provide both delivery and pick up at no cost!
The Reading Bridge team provides onsite staffing during your fair, along with in person register training for your volunteers. Your dedicated program coordinator can also provide a mid week restock run if your book fair is starting to look empty!
Inclusivity - We guide children to books which speak to them. Reading Bridge seeks to expand the literary experience of young readers through the promotion of inclusive storytelling and a diverse pool of authors and publishers. The books at our fairs are handpicked by our team for your community.
Literacy - Stories are for everyone. Reading Bridge is dedicated to narrowing systemic gaps in education through our Bridge Fairs and partnering with other nonprofits.
Love of Reading – Instilling a love of reading gives children a head start in their overall development. Strong literacy expands vocabulary and builds self-confidence. Reading for pleasure drives creativity and enhances development of critical thinking and a variety of other life skills.
Engaging Experiences – The Reading Bridge team offers read-alouds and “books talks” to enhance the fair experience for students and get them excited about reading. We also offer the opportunity to bring local and visiting children's authors to your school both as part of a book fair and year round! Prior school visit authors have included Katherine Applegate, Judd Winick, and Shannon Hale.
Easy Fundraising – Reading Bridge donates a sliding scale percentage of all book fair sales back to your school with an extra %5 for schools that take their donation in Book’s Inc. gift cards.
